Blue Sunshine Blu Ray Collector’s Edition Update and FAQ’s:

First of all, I wanted to once again, thank everyone who has been involved with this project, and especially the amazing film fans, who have shown the most awesome support, during the pre-order period. To be blunt, I am absolutely overwhelmed with the amount of orders that we have received. Its overwhelming. I have had a few successful blu ray projects in the past through our sister releasing company, but this Blue Sunshine release has shattered any of the previous pre-sales. I certainly underestimated either the popularity of this cult film, or maybe the generosity and caring nature of many of the cinefiles out there!!

I will say that through the course of this project, I have kept you all in my mind and strived to make this as solid as could be, to not only please you all, but to give the value that I feel Blu Ray productions deserve. Literally most anyone can release a film on Blu Ray and home video, but IMO, it is the approach, the love and the care that makes a project stand out, among the dozens and dozens of monthly releases out there. I am hoping that this package will represent a standard to which I have strived for and which all other specialty releases in my future can grow upon. Without the support of all the customers, I would not be able to do this, not a chance. Thank you.

Secondly, the pre-orders are shipping in full force and with that said, I wanted to give some points of advice and also put some minds at ease, for the customers and anyone else who may be interested in still ordering directly from the FilmCentrix website.

Here are some frequently asked questions and answers:

1. HAVE THE PRE-ORDERS BEGUN TO SHIP YET? 

YES!! If you had placed an order during our PRE-ORDER period, you should have received an initial email that the pre order was received, AND as of Monday July 4 th, a second email was automatically sent, letting all the pre-orders know that their order is “available” and now being processed. This does not mean it has shipped yet. The final notice will come with an email that confirms the order is completed and will have shipping and tracking information sent with each order and a separate email is also being sent directly from Stamps.com, with tracking as well. Its a thorough way to cover all bases and many customers enjoy the freedom of being able to track their own parcels.

2. HOW ARE YOU PACKAGING AND SHIPPING THE ORDERS? SHIPPING COSTS?

We actually take incredible care to go out of way to insure that all packages arrive in perfect condition and safe and sound. So even if the parcel gets mistreated by the couriers, we want the actual media to be extra protected. For this reason, we are using padded bubble mailers for all single Blu Ray orders, and each Blu Ray is sandwiched between 2 additional pieces of thin chipboard, to establish a buffer and some extra padding. Go ahead and laugh, its alright, but I take incredible pride in every step of the process, and always have. As much as I am not a snobbish fanatic, there is nothing worse than receiving a shaken and loose or broken Blu Ray case, a wrinkled cover or slipcase, and or damaged media.

For the United States, we are shipping all orders via USPS, and using First Class Service service with tracking on all orders, from USPS.com. For Canada and International, we are also using the USPS First Class International service, and same packaging for all singles. For orders that have multiple copies, we will use media Multi pack corrugated mailers, which are the highest quality you can find, and we reinforce all packages with strong packing tape.

3. ARE YOU PACKAGING THEM CAREFULLY?

Does howdy doody have a wooden leg? Does a bear shit in the woods? Of course!!  Everything I do is done with pride. If it is worth doing, its worth doing right. Nothing is more annoying than a lazy packaging job.

4.WHAT HAPPENS IF I DONT RECEIVE MY ORDER, OR IF SOMETHING IS MISSING/DAMAGED?

Although, we are attempting to make sure nothing is lost or damaged, we are shipping literally hundreds and hundreds of these pre-orders and once they arrive at the USPS, it is sometimes, OUT OF OUR CONTROL. If you receive damaged media, just send an email to sales@filmcentrix.com, with your order number and we will take care of it by responding. Since all orders are sent with tracking, lost packages should not be hard to either track down and and or trace back.

5.CAN WE LEAVE FEEDBACK?

Please feel free to leave feedback on our website www.filmcentrix.com, you just need to login with your password and username, and can leave the feedback in the shop, It will help to populate the site and allow others to use the feedback, when making a decision about a purchase. And unlike almost every other major or even minor releasing studio, I am essentially a one person show over here at FilmCentrix. While it is not always ideal and things can take a bit longer, it allows me the opportunity to treat every aspect of each release, like a custom gem!  It is clear that my approach to film restoration and media releasing, is a bit more boutique than average. This project has been a wonderful experience overall and I would love to hear from all the customers, good or bad, it will help me to define what I can work on to make things even better, on future release. Now remember, I wont be able to make everyone happy, but ideally, the goal is to keep a sold base of fans and customers who love to see exploitation and cult films, treated with the utmost love.

6. WHAT ABOUT ORDERS SHIPPING TO CANADA? AS THERE MAY BE A POSTAL STRIKE?

Because of the large amount of pre-orders to Canada( Thank you guys so much, your support is so greatly appreciated), we are not able to change our shipping method to other carriers, like UPS or FED EX. Sometimes, the cost can be double or triple of what the postal service can offer. At this point, we are planning on having all the Canadian pre-orders to be completed and shipped by Monday. If anyone in Canada has some solid feedback on the potential postal strike, please keep us posted on FB or via email.

7. I HAVE KINDLY ASKED FOR A SCREENER COPY TO REVIEW, BUT I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING BACK YET? ARE YOU SENDING SCREENERS?

First of all, we greatly appreciate your interest. It is wonderful to have reviews, which help to drive sales and promotion. Secondly, there have definitely been a handful of screeners shipped already and a few others are on the way. We don’t play favorites to anyone, but we had a small list of established reviewers and recently we have begun to create additional names to the list. We are going to try out best to keep sending out screeners, until we feel satisfied that the exposure is at max levels. Also, please understand that this is a limited package, with limited print material and media, and the demand right now is at the highest level. But , please be patient. I also want to point out that several people have purchased this great package and are also going out of their way to review it, this is the most wonderful compliment and I thank you all in advance for your professionalism and support.

8. WHAT ABOUT THE SIGNED MAGNETS? HOW DO I GET ONE?

As we posted originally, the Jeff Lieberman-autographed magnets were an exclusive to all the customers who pre-ordered and placed their order on or before July 4th, 2016. If your order was placed after the 4th, you will not be receiving a signed 4×6 magnet. After all the pre-orders and orders are completed, by early next week, we may have some specials and mini contests to continue the promotion and at that time, we may have more for the taking!

9. WILL THIS BE AVAILABLE ON OTHER WEBSITES LIKE AMAZON.COM, DIABOLIK.COM AND OTHERS? 

YES!! For sure! But as we said from the beginning, Filmcentrix is a studio/archive that is fully independent, and unlike some studios, we unfortunately do not have any investors, but I am always wishing for one!!!!! But the point is, that I currently operate on a shoe string budget and to produce very high end packages like this, I need to reach deep and be frugal, resourceful, and not too mention 18-20 hour work days, sounds fun- right??? It is for this reason, that the pre-orders are essential and keeping that exclusive, allows me more control to begin to repay the high cost of the production of this package. As soon as I get word that we can offer them on other sites and wholesale to stores, they will immediately become available. Again, thank you in advance for understanding.
